The Bruce 700, co-written by Allan MacDonald & Neil Johnstone, is one continuous piece of programme music depicting events leading up to, during & after the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The piece fuses together ancient pipe tunes written in connection with the battle along with original material, in a unique musical landscape.

Performers include Allan MacDonald, Neil Johnstone, Iain MacDonald, Dr Angus MacDonald, Craig Muirhead, Angus MacKenzie, Fraser Fifield, Dick Lee, Mary MacMaster, Duncan Lyall, Lori Watson, Aidan o’Rourke, Innes Watson, Patsy Reid, Kathleen MacInnes, Rod Paterson, Griogar Labhruidh accompanied by a string orchestra, percussion and the Stirling & District Schools pipe band led by Chris Gibb & Davie Ross.
