Walter Leigh is only known for a few works, most notably the exquisite Concertino for Harpsichord and Strings, and he remains shamefully neglected as a musical figure. This release offers the opportunity to hear some of his music for piano and his extremely varied settings of nine different poets, including Shakespeare, William Blake, and Walter de la Mare.
