Blues, Folk & Nonsense is the first studio album from Sandy “The Hat” McInnes, recorded at Clearwater Studios in Perth, Scotland, with the help of a number of his “kind and talented friends”.
Having lost too many friends and family to cancer over the years, Sandy decided to do his part in the fight against the disease. All proceeds from this CD will go towards funding the new Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The centre is dedicated to cancer research and the centre’s chairperson, Lady Fiona Fraser, has given the album her full backing.
As the title suggest, there is a good range of tracks. Sandy offers his take on a few blues classics, as well as performing two “nonsense” songs and a couple penned by the man himself.
