Donald WG Lindsay & Roo Geddes

Description

Honeymoon Bridge brings Donald WG Lindsay’s voice and Lindsay System Scottish smallpipes together with Roo Geddes’s fiddle and piano. Recorded live at Watercolour Music in Ardgour in April 2026, this double album carries traditional songs, ballads, airs and dance tunes alongside Lindsay’s own songs and his setting of Gerard Manley Hopkins’s Inversnaid. The pipes accompany his singing as well as carrying instrumental melodies; the title song pairs voice with Geddes’s piano. For Drunk at Night, Dry in the Morning, Geddes and Nick Turner retuned the studio piano to meet the pipes. The record follows their collaboration on Two Boats Under the Moon and marks ten years since the Lindsay System chanter became ready for professional use. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Nick Turner; cover art by Taylor Bernard.
